Weekly Update: September 25th
Today was a FUNDAY in the Eagle Nest (last Friday of the month)! Wow, September is almost over already! Next week will be a short week with the National Holiday on Thursday and a school Holiday on Friday. Wednesday, September 30th the eagles will be getting creative as a celebration of the end of our Unit of Inquiry at ART JAMMING! I can’t wait. The 5E Eagles were thrilled on Tuesday to get their sleek and snazzy new orange MacBook gem covers. Although some students were skeptical about the colour at first, it turned out that everyone was dazzled by the glowing neon effect they have once we slid them on. Eagle Eye thinks they’re looking really fantastic too!
Oh! WOW! You each have your own laptop. Are you allowed to take them home or are they only used at school? How long do the batteries last and where do you put the laptops when you go home?

Yes, we are very fortunate to have our own MacBook Pros in the Eagle Nest. Each student owns their own machine, but they remain in our class (in a power-charging cabinet) for evenings and on weekends. The batteries last about 6 hours, but we put them in the cabinet to charge whenever we are not using them, so they never run out. The students can take them home for long holiday periods, like Summer holiday, Easter and Chinese New Year. Our school has almost ~1,700 students and everyone from Grade 5 and up has their very own MacBook! By Grade 7 the students have to take their MacBooks with them to every class, keep them safe, and make sure they’re charged up all day.

Thanks for what you said about my blog. Im a huge fan of Michael jackson and I know how to do the moonwalk and thriller dance but I look odd trying to dance. Does your students do a good job doing the moonwalk? I just started to do tattoos this year. Ur class is so lucky to have laptops ☺. Ur blog looks great to!!! Cya later
